At PDC Dental we want you to have the very best experience to compliment what we believe is the very best in implant treatment. From your first visit to your last, we strive to ensure you are looked after as part of the PDC family.
We are delighted to offer you the option of a complimentary informal consultation with one of our treatment coordinators. During this visit you will have the opportunity to look around our facilities whilst enjoying a cappuccino or cup of tea. You can talk to a member of the implant team who will answer any questions you may have and can also explain the different treatment options we can offer.
This visit is ideal if you are thinking about dental implants and whether this might be a suitable treatment for you, if you are a nervous person and are seeking reassurance without any pressure or quite simply if you would like to have a chat and get a feel for PDC and whether we are right for you. At this stage, you may wish to book your comprehensive dental implant assessment.
From my first contact with PDC Dental I have been treated with supreme care and friendliness. My initial visit was detailed and I felt under no pressure to proceed with the treatment.
Your Implant Assessment
You may wish to book your Comprehensive Implant Assessment whether or not you have visited us beforehand.
This is a 9 stage appointment and you should expect to be with us for around an hour and 20 minutes. This is our opportunity to talk to you and find out how we can help. It is important to us to find out what how missing a tooth or teeth has been affecting you and what your are hoping to achieve from your treatment. During this appointment we will:-
- Assess the muscles and glands of your head and neck
- Assess all the soft tissues inside the mouth
- Take a computerised digital record of all your teeth
- Complete a full gum health assessment
- Carefully examine your jaw joints
- Look at your bite (how your teeth fit and work together)
- Take any necessary x-rays
- Take a full set of photographs of your face, teeth and smile
- Take impressions to allow us to make models of your teeth for further detailed examination
If we feel it necessary for your treatment we may also suggest taking a CT scan. Many practices need to refer patients who need CT scans to a local hospital however, due to the level of care we afford our patients and the complex nature of much of the implant work we carry out we have a CT scanner on site at our Penistone practice.
Once we have all this information we feel it important to take the appropriate amount of time to study all this information and develop a bespoke treatment plan with multiple options for you. This way we feel we can always provide a solution to fit your desires and help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.
Also include within the cost of your comprehensive assessment is an Options meeting. This is a further chance for you to ask any questions you may have following your assessment and also allows us to present to you all the treatment options available. We feel this is a vital step as it is of paramount importance to us that you make the decision that is right for you. Following acceptance of your treatment plan a full written report detailing our discussions is sent to you for your reference. We will also schedule all your appointments so you know what is involved in achieving your treatment goals.
